Windows XP End of Life
Support Ends on April 8, 2014.
If you or your company still have computers running Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system, the time has come to upgrade. On April 8th, 2014, Microsoft will cease to release updates for this operating system. What does this mean for you? The answer: your computer will quickly become a target for malware and other types of infections the moment a new security flaw is found in the operating system. When this happens with a supported operating system, patches are released to protect the computer. With no more updates, the computer will be increasingly exposed.
Our recommendation for the vast majority of users is to update to Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. Windows 8 is another option, but we have had numerous complaints about the usability of that system.
